Qualitative and Quantitative Methods Training

The Winter School is intended primarily for early-stage PhD students, but is suitable for anyone who wishes to improve their qualitative or quantitative social research skills. There are separate quantitative and qualitative streams, which come together for a one-day joint session on mixed methods. The School is organised by the Departments of Sociology and Politics & Public Administration, UL, with support from the Irish Social Science Platform.

Cost: Free for research students at ISSP-affiliated institutions; €300 for all others

Participation in the school is designed to give 10 ECTS credits, on the basis of prior reading and substantial assignments completed after the school.
