Social Pedagogy Event

On 24-25 May 2012 the Department of Humanities at the Institute of Technology Sligo hosts the first social pedagogy event in the Republic of Ireland: co-organised with the Social Pedagogy Development Network (SPDN)/ThemPra Social Pedagogy (24 May 5-8.30pm; 25 May 10-4).

Social pedagogy is a popular approach that underpins social care practice in much of Europe. The event will be of interest to those working in social care, early years education, youth and community and other social professions, and to educators and students in these areas. The event will feature key note speakers from Norway, Denmark and Finland as well as interactive and enjoyable learning opportunities.
